Arriving as a new colourway in the prototype-inspired Nike Daybreak Type Shoe model, this black and team orange edition features durable textile uppers with leather and suede overlays around the front of the toe, laces border and on the heel. The creative aesthetic taps into the initial design process with raw edges and stitched detailing on either side of the foot which enhances the low-cut design. The tongue is padded for comfort with a large woven label positioned around the top edge bearing stylised ‘N.354’ branding to signify this design being a part of an experimental project and below the laces help to keep the fit secure and comfortable during everyday wear. Outlined Swoosh tick emblems can be seen on either side of the foot, applied using team orange tone stitching which matches zig zag detailing on the outer side of the shoe and a heel tab around the back of the design which shows the same ‘N.354’ graphic as the tongue. Below this, a larger heel cap has been cut from a smooth synthetic material that helps to protect a key area before continuing across the rubber outsole. WIthin the shoe a soft fabric lining has been added for comfort alongside a padded insole whilst on the outsole an iconic Waffle tread pattern delivers an impressive level of traction.

Offering a piece of Nike’s rich heritage the Daybreak Type Shoes pay homage to the work of Bill Bowerman who helped to revolutionize footwear forever with his eye for innovation and design that launched Nike into the spotlight during the 1970’s, where the brand has remained ever since. With a vision to recreate running footwear for better performance, Bowerman's early prototypes are reflected through the Daybreak with rough overlays and stitching that adds a playful element to a now-vintage silhouette which has been updated with modern features and fabrics to ensure contemporary levels of comfort.
